Union Ministry of Minority Affairs Launched Maulana Azad Sehat Scheme
Union Ministry of Minority Affairs on 4 March launched Maulana Azad Sehat Scheme for the benefits and welfare of minorities of India.Under the Maulana Azad Sehat scheme, “Sehat Card” would be issued to every student of the Institution financially aided by Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF).Ministry of Minority affairs also launched a new scheme for Nalanda Project to provide benefits in the higher studies program.The Nalanda Project is basically a faculty development program which is taken up at Aligarh Muslim University.Aligarh Muslim University is main and premier university in India.
Sheila Dikshit Appointed as the new Governor of Kerala
Sheila Dikshit, the former three-term Chief Minister of Delhi, was appointed as the Governor of Kerala on 4 March. Dikshit succeeds Nikhil Kumar. Dikshit is a senior congress leader and has served Delhi three times, as its Chief Minister from 1998 to 2013. She had represented the Kannauj Parliamentary Constituency of Uttar Pradesh during 1984 to 1989.
