Tim Howard Won Player Of The Year 2014 Award

Goalkeeper Tim Howard has won the 2014 Player of the Year award for his work with the U.S. national team. It is the first time Howard has won the prestigious honor given to a U.S. team member by Futbol de Primera.


President Barack Obama Nominates Ashton Carter As Defense Secretary

President Barack Obama has nominated Ashton Carter as the next defence secretary of US Department of Defence. Ashton will replace Chuck Hagel as US Defence Secretary, who resigned on 24 November 2014. He will take over as defense secretary in 2015.


10 lakh Women To Be Covered Under Rashtriya Mahila Kosh In Next 3 Years

The Union Women and Child Development Ministry has set a target to cover at least 10 lakh women under Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK), a national credit fund for women, over the next three years. The new target was announced by Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi at the 52nd Governing Board meeting of RMK which has been recently reconstituted to make it more effective.


Belgium’s Former Queen Fabiola Died

Belgium’s former Queen Fabiola, the widow of the Belgium king Baudouin, has died in Brussels. She was 86. Fabiola became queen of Belgium when she married King Baudouin in 1960. She remained Queen Consort for 33 years – until Baudoin’s death in 1993.


Mahaparinirwan Diwas was Observed On 6 December

Dr.Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas was observed across India on 6 December 2014. Dr.Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar had died on 6th of December in the 1956 that’s why Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Din or death anniversary is celebrated every year all over the India on 6th of December to pay him a lot of tribute and honor. He is called as “The Father of the Indian Constitution”. In 1990, Ambedkar was posthumously conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.
