Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Dies

On 6 March Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez died at Caracas .Hugo Chavez was the President of Venezuela from 1999 till his death in 2013.He was the leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.Chavez was a former leader of the Fifth Republic Movement political party from its foundation in 1997 until 2007.He Served as the President of Venezuela for three times.A coup attempt was made in Venezuela in April 2002 to overthrow Hugo Chavez from his office.


Punjab, Haryana, Delhi Top  Well Being Index

According to the Tata Strategic Management Group Survey report , Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana have been ranked at the top of the Well Being Index, while southern states, Gujarat and most of the north-eastern states emerged as the most secure ones for women in the Female Security Index.The states of Punjab, Delhi, HP, Haryana and Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh were ranked at the top of the Well Being Index, while Chhattisgarh, Assam, Jharkhand and Bihar appeared at the bottom.On the Female Security Index, Hyderabad and Delhi were the lowest-ranked amongst the metro cities, while Chennai and Bangalore were at the top. Southern states, Gujarat and most of the north-eastern states emerged as the most secure for women, while Haryana, MP, Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan had the lowest ranking on FSI.Tata Strategic said it has measured the material well-being of a consumer household along eight key dimensions: home, kitchen, hygiene, entertainment, communication, transportation, education and healthcare.


Arun Jaitley, Karan Singh, Sharad Yadav Best Parliamentarians 

On 6 March Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley, Congress veteran Karan Singh and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav have been selected for the ‘Outstanding Parliamentarian Award’.Jaitley, who is Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, gets the award for the year 2010, Karan Singh for 2011 and Sharad Yadav for 2012. Jaitley and Singh are members of the Upper House from Gujarat and Delhi, respectively, while Yadav is a Lok Sabha member from Madhepura, Bihar. The Indian Parliamentary Group had instituted the award in 1994 which is conferred each year.


India World’s Third Largest ‘Spam Spewing Nation’

On 6 March According to statistics from SophosLabs ,India has been placed third on the list of the countries distributing spam across the world.US is still firmly on the top, distributing more spam than any other country in the world.China took the second spot and India the third, with 8.2 percent and 4.2 percent of the world’s spam.
