Rajasthani singer Mangi Arya passes away

Rajasthani Maand folk singer Mangi Bai Arya passed away following a heart attack in Udaipur. Mangi Bai Arya was 88 years old. She had learnt singing from her father Kamlaram Arya, an eminent classical singer of his times. She had contributed significantly in taking Maand to the national and international levels. She has won several awards, including the Kendriya Sangeet Natak Akademy Award.
