Anthony Lianzuala takes over as new controller General of Accounts

Anthony Lianzuala took over as the New Controller General of Accounts (CGA) in New Delhi, on 1st May 2017. Earlier the Government of India had appointed Mr. Lianzuala, 1982 batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAs) officer, as the new controller General of Accounts (CGA), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance with effect from May 1, 2017. He will be the first person from the North-Eastern Region to hold this position.


AP CM Chandrababu Naidu selected for USIBC Award

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Nara Chandrababu Naidu on 2nd May 2017, selected for the “Transformative Chief Minister Award” of the US – India Business Council (USIBC) He was selected for his role in advancing the US-India partnership at the state level. The Award will be presented to him on 8 May, 2017 at the USIBC coast summit in the Silicon Valley.


 Padma Venkataraman bestowed with Avvaiyar Award

The Tamil Nadu Government on 2 May 2017 conferred the 2017 Avvaiyar Award to Padma Venkataraman, a social worker and daughter of former Indian President, the late R. Venkataraman. Padma was honoured with the award for her efforts in the field of women’s welfare and rehabilitation of leprosy – affected people since the past 30 years by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami.


 Ganga Swachhata Sankalp Divas celebrated on May 2, 2017

May 2, 2017 was observed as Ganga Swchhata Sankalp Divas by National Mission on Clean Ganga (NMCG) at twelve locations Kanpur, Bithoor, Allahabad, Devprayag, varanasi, Patna, Bhagalpur, Koklata, Raj Ghat, Sahibganj, Srinagar (Uttarakhand) and Vidhur Kuti (Bijnor). Ganga Vichaar Manch and local NGO’s organized the event at 30 more locations. On May 2, 2017, Ganga cleanliness resolution day was observed in 15 cities and 985 Villages situated on the banks of River Ganga.


 Anil Kumar Singhal appointed as EO for TTD

The Northern IAS officer Anil Kumar Singhal has been appointed to the post of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer (EO) Presently he was the resident commissioner of Ap Bhavan, at New Delhi. He was 1993 batch IAS Officer. The Govt has issued the orders to Singhal. In 2002 he was worked as Chittoor District Joint collector and then he also worked in 2004 as Medak District Collector.
