West Bengal Government Launched Micro Business Credit Card To Boost MSMEs

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on 11 February launched a Micro Business Credit Card which will give a boost to MSME sector in the state. This would facilitate small and medium business entrepreneurs in the state. With the help of this card, the small and medium entrepreneurs will be able to avail the cash credit or loan up to 5 lakh rupees for their business activities, even without collateral security.


Adani Enterprises To Set Up Country’s Largest 10,000 MW Solar Plant In Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Government and Adani Enterprises Ltd., signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for developing solar parks with a capacity of 10,000 MW in the next ten years. The MoU was signed by Adani Enterprises CEO Vineet Jain and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Managing Director B. K. Dosi in the presence of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of the Adani group, will develop solar parks having a capacity of 10,000 MW in the next ten years. Of these, solar parks of 5,000 MW capacity will be developed in the next five years. Adani Enterprises will set up solar power projects of 5,000 MW on its own as part of these solar parks in addition to solar manufacturing units and power evacuation system.


Four New Fish Species Discovered In Kerala

Four new fish species named Puntius nelsoni, Puntius nigronotus, Systomus chryseus and Systomus rufus have been discovered in Kerala.They were discovered by Mathews Plamoottil, a zoology professor at Baby John Memorial Government College in Kollam. These new fishes have been deposited in the museum of the Zoological Survey of India at Kolkata and Kozhikode.
