The 24th World Congress of Philosophy (WCP) was held in Beijing, China. It was organized by the International Federation of Philosophical Societies, and Peking University. Its theme was “Learning To Be Human”. This was first time that the quinquennial (once in five year) event was held in China.

Smitha Crishna, third-generation heir of the Godrej Empire, has topped the India’s wealthiest women list for 2018, prepared by Kotak Wealth-Hurun Report. Crishna, who has a 20% stake in the Godrej Group, has an estimated net worth of Rs 375.7 bn.

Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has passed away aged 93 in Delhi. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was three times Prime Minister of India. he is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
