NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation) Limited has bagged the prestigious S&P Global PLATTS Global Metals Award 2018 in corporate social responsibility (CSR) category held at London.
India’s economy is projected to grow 7.6% in 2018-19: UN WESP
According to UN World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP), India’s economy is projected to grow 7.6% in fiscal year 2018-19, making it fastest growing economy in the world. GDP growth in India is expected 7.5 and 7.6% in fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19 respectively.

Gina Haspel confirmed as first female director of CIA
The US Senate confirmed Gina Haspel as the first female director of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Haspel’s nomination was confirmed in a 54-45 vote, following a difficult nomination process that reopened an emotional debate about brutal interrogation techniques in one of the darkest chapters of CIA’s history.
RBI imposed penalty on Cooperative bank
The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a penalty of Rs. 50,000/- on Universal Co-operative Urban Bank, Mancherial, Telangana. The penalty has been imposed on the bank as it had violated RBI’s directive and guidelines on loans and advances to directors and their relatives.
