Tata Coffee Appoints Chacko Purackal Thomas as MD & CEO
Tata Coffee announced the appointment of Chacko Purackal Thomas as the managing director and chief executive officer. He will replace Sanjiv Sarin. He will assume the charge from April 1, 2019.


AIBA President Gafur Rahimov Resigned
The Amateur International Boxing Federation (AIBA) President Gafur Rahimov announced his resignation claiming that political based discussions were harming the organizations progress. Rahimov will be replaced by an interim president. Rahimov was elected in November 2018 despite being on the U.S. Treasury Department’s sanctions list ‘for providing material support’ to a criminal organization.


Jimmy Carter becomes the longest living chief executive in American history
Former US president Jimmy Carter has created a record. Elected as the 39th President, Carter is now the longest living chief executive in American history. He is the 172nd day beyond Carter’s 94th birthday. It exceeds by one day the lifespan of former President George H.W. Bush, who died last November at the age of 94 years, 171 days.


IGI Airport Delhi becomes The 12th Busiest Airport in the World
In accordance with the preliminary world airport traffic rankings for 2018 released by Airports Council International (ACI), Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) of New Delhi has elevated 4 ranks to reach at 12th spot in terms of the busiest airport as compared to 2017’s 16th spot.

Karnataka Minister Shivalli passes away
Karnataka Municipalities Minister C S Shivalli passed away in a hospital in Hubballi. He was 58. For the past three days, he was monitoring the rescue operation at the building that had collapsed in Dharwad. Shivalli was elected thrice from Kundgol constituency in Dharwad district. Shivalli will be remembered for his service to Karnataka.
