Pakistan Successfully Test Fires Hatf-IX
Pakistan on 26 September successfully test-fired a short-range surface-to-surface missile Hatf-IX (Nasr) with a range of 60 kilometres. The test-fire was conducted with successive launches of 4x Missiles from a state of the art multi-tube launcher with salvo mode. Built with an in-flight manoeuvre capability, Nasr is a quick response system.
Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan Resigned
Prithviraj Chavan resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra after his government was reduced to a minority. Chavan submitted his resignation to governor of the state C Vidyasagar Rao.
