Siddhartha Upadhyay appointed on governing body of Sports Authority of India
Society for Transformation, Inclusion and Recognition through Sports (STAIRS) founder and secretary general Siddhartha Upadhyay has been appointed to the governing body of Sports Authority of India. Sports entrepreneur and Philanthropist Siddhartha Upadhyay is leading the change in sports at grassroots levels through STAIRS, a not for profit organization working towards sports, education, health and skill development of Children across India.
9th World Environmental Education Congress
World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) is an international congress addressing education for environment and sustainable development. WEEC 2017 is the 9th congress and will take place September 9-15, – 2017 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. WEEC is an opportunity to learn more about the latest in environmental and sustainability education, to discuss with people from all over the world.
Kerala Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh Joined UDAY
Ujjwal Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAY) is a center’s power distributed company debt relief scheme. Recently the three states Kerala, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh have joined the scheme. With this, 26 states joined the scheme. The government estimates that Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura will gain net benefit of approximately Rs.4,178 crore, Rs.309 crore and Rs.810 crore respectively.
